CSO participated the Journey through the Universe program in February 2011.  This year, a staff research scientist Hiroko Shinnaga participated the program and took enthusiastic students and teachers a journey from Earth to the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond in classrooms at E B De Silva Elementary School in Hilo, HI.  We've reached 55 students throughout the week of Feb 13 -- 18th.  Florian Nussberger at Gemini Observatory helped Hiroko for her classroom visits as an ambassador.

This year's Journey through the Universe is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Walter Steiger
